From what I've gathered in the news thus far, Obama wants to give people;

Though this may cost me my job as your campaign manager :) I'm afraid I have to step in as your fact checker.
Obama's plan would repeal many of the tax breaks given to the richest 20% of our population. Therefore, while the lower and middle class get tax breaks, the upper class will be paying far more than what's given out. That's where the money to fund this would come from. Also, pulling our troops out of Iraq will free up a lot of money in the budget.
It's worth mentioning that I don't dispute your general point that he is a Politician, and thus should not be trusted.
Actually bergstom is right, Obama is planning to see how much Jake made last year then give a tax break to everyone who made less then Jake and raise Jake's and everyone who made more then him's taxes.
Obama's not a politician ,he's the savior haven't you heard?
I read in Teen Beat that he once walked on water. He's so dreamy!
Honestly, tax breaks? Wouldn't it be more sensible to end the corporate tax breaks and loop holes AND not give another rebate. You, know, put the brakes on the nation's economic avalanche. But only if we want to actually solve the problem. I'm all for bankrupting this puppy.
I retract my most recent comment. It was intended as a joke, and meant in a humorous spirit.
Here's the non-offensive part of that post:
Yes, it would make more sense, but saying "I'm gonna raise taxes" pretty much guarantees you won't get elected. So, if you're going to raise taxes, and still want to get elected, you have to figure out some way to cut taxes at the same time, and then focus your sound-bites on the part you're reducing. Obama chose to cut for the workin' man, other candidates give hand outs to multinational corporations.
The other portions (which followed the above) may have been construed as not taking Jake's candidacy seriously, or worse, as an actual attempt at bribery. I regret having written something that could be interpreted in such ways, and wish to sincerely apologize to Jacob Roth, and the American people, for my having made such ill-considered jests.
While I am very unlikely to vote for Jake, I support his right to run for office, and feel that he is a far better candidate than the vast majority of politicians who get elected every year in this country.
